About the You're Not Over the Hill Program

Free resources and proven strategies to help you stay independent in your own home as you age.

Our Mission

You deserve to age on your own terms.

The “You’re Not Over the Hill” program helps Tennessee seniors maintain independence, dignity, and purpose as they age – whether that means staying in their own homes, making informed care decisions, or finding meaning in their later years.

This isn’t about anti-aging. It’s about empowered aging.

The Problem We're Addressing

Too many seniors believe they have no choice but institutional care.

Every day, Tennessee seniors face pressure to give up their independence:

  1. Family members insist on nursing home placement at the first sign of difficulty
  2. Seniors don’t know what resources and alternatives exist
  3. Fear and lack of information lead to decisions made in crisis rather than with intention
  4. Isolation and lack of planning result in unnecessary loss of independence

But there’s another way.

What We Believe

We believe that:

Independence matters. Your ability to make decisions about your own life shouldn’t end just because you’re aging.

Nursing homes aren’t inevitable. Most seniors can stay independent much longer than they think with the right support and planning.

Information is power. Knowledge about options, resources, and strategies transforms what’s possible.

Your story isn’t over. The later years of life can be purposeful, meaningful, and filled with dignity.

You’re not alone. Thousands of Tennessee seniors are successfully aging on their own terms – and you can too.
